Woof woof. It’s a good day to be a dog because my human works at D2L. From yummy treats to new places to sniff and endless belly rubs, my days in the D2L office are tail-waggingly perfect. So let me take you on a day in my life as an office dog.
Morning Treats:
First my human puts on their outdoor shoes, and then I get a car ride into the office. On the way in, my human gets me a puppacino. Woof, fellow humans. Once I arrive at the office, I am greeted by lots of smiling faces because everyone is excited to see me (of course they are, I am adorable) and the smell of fresh coffee and treats. But my mom says I can’t have any because they are for the humans.
Pawfect Assistant Time:
Once settled at our desk, it’s time for me to join morning meetings with the team. I’m not just here for my charm and adorable looks; I’m an essential part of the brainstorming process. Sometimes, I even offer my input with a well-timed woof or a tail wag. My presence brings a relaxed and playful atmosphere, making it a delightful experience for everyone. All the desks at D2L are sit-stand desks so my human has decided to stand. After a while, I get tired and decide it is time for my morning nap.
Playtime and Pawfect Productivity:
After the morning hustle, it’s showtime. I get to burn off some energy by going for a walk around the office and getting pets from everyone who sees me. The humans understand that playtime is not just fun but also boosts creativity and productivity, so they bring me into the games room to play with another office dog while they play in the VR area.
Lunchtime Adventures:
Now it’s lunch time. If I’m lucky, some of the D2Lers will give me a little treat from their lunch. Then we head outside to join in D2K Walks on the Iron Horse Trail to get some Vitamin D and re-energize. D2K Walks is an initiative for D2Lers to walk two km or 2,000 steps together. When they don’t go for walks, my mom also gets to burn off some energy in the office gym and yoga studio.
Snuggles and Smiles:
After lunch, it’s back to work. Throughout the day, my adorable presence never fails to bring smiles to faces. Whether it’s cuddling up with a colleague for some stress relief or providing comfort during challenging moments, I’m here to spread joy and brighten the day. Even the most stressful deadlines are made easier with a wagging tail or a furry head resting on a lap.
Closing the Day With Gratitude:
As the day winds down, I reflect on the countless memories I’ve created. The humans at D2L truly understand the significance of a work-life integration, and I feel lucky to be part of this loving community. With a heart filled with gratitude, I curl up on my cozy bed, ready for a good night’s sleep and ready to do it all over again tomorrow.
