As we work to overcome the challenges of COVID-19, one positive outcome is that more and more of our educators are discovering the power they have to leverage distance learning as a valuable way to reach students.
– Vanessa Cox, Director of Online Learning, University of Dallas

Thank you @D2L for helping @GwinnettSchools be prepared for unscheduled multiple digital learning days! http://ow.ly/3iY350yLo3r - we at @gwinnettonline are ready because of our partnership with you!

Without Brightspace this would have been a bloody nightmare - with Brightspace staff are well up for it. The feedback from the kids and parents has been fantastic. Virtual Classrooms are driving learning and progress … but much more importantly the impact on their mental health of hearing their teacher, speaking to each other and instead of having a wall of written work, having loads of great interactive activities - it’s just super-cool and is making them happy.

In a few weeks we are already 100% in Brightspace in response to the contingency and we will be super enriched. Surely teachers and students will return to support the platform even in face-to-face format, but supports them with research, opinion, tasks, and rubrics and they love that they have so many multimedia options.

Shout out to @JohnBakerD2L and the @D2L team for offering support to, and advocating on behalf of, #PSE in our efforts to support faculty and students during this challenging time. With sincere appreciation, @myNBCC

With the help of Evanza and D2L we migrated all the courses and trained the faculty, about 4500 courses were uploaded in a week or less.

Online Learning tip of the day for those forced to teach online due to #COVID19: Instructor presence is huge in keeping students engaged online.
– Kevin Cormier, LMS System Administrator, New Brunswick Community College

Been toiling away in the background for @LTSAlgonquin @AlgonquinColleg to help faculty move online, and it's been humbling to see how hard everyone is working on this. Truly loving my work right now and excited for my @D2L workshop through @zoom tomorrow. Take care, folks 💙
– Rob Kershaw, eLearning Training Specialist, Algonquin College
When we were told, in early March, that next week we were going virtual, I was worried. I still had three weeks of course content to deliver, and I couldn’t just call it a class and be done with it. There was too much still left to teach. I decided to give Virtual Classroom a shot, despite having zero experience with delivering anything virtually. What amazed me was that it worked so easily. It was seamless, and I used it to deliver all the remainder of my lectures, so we didn’t miss a single class. It really saved my class.
– Tamas Dobozy, Professor and Chair, Dept. of English and Film Studies, Wilfrid Laurier University
