Press Release
D2L, a global learning technology company, was named a 2024 Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE™ finalist in three categories. D2L Brightspace was nominated for Best Learning Management System (LMS), Best Solution for Students with Special Needs and Best Customer Education (LMS).
“I’m honoured that D2L has been once again recognized as a SIIA CODiE™ Award finalist in multiple categories,” said John Baker, CEO and founder of D2L. “We’ve been working hard for 25 years to make learning more personal and meaningful with platforms and tools that can inspire and empower learners and educators around the world. We’ll always keep striving to support making learning more accessible and engaging – and help all learners to achieve more than they ever dreamed possible.”
The three prestigious recognitions speak directly to D2L’s commitment to delivering excellence and success for clients’ learning experiences. D2L was selected as a finalist across the following award categories:
- Best Learning Management System (LMS): Celebrates the best digital learning solutions across K-12 and higher education that can allow educators and administrators alike to streamline course development, management and design. Finalists are selected based on their platform’s level of accessibility, customization, integration and usability, among other features.
- Best Solution for Students with Special Needs: Honours the best solutions designed for learners with unique educational needs. This category recognizes the level of responsiveness and flexibility these tools provide in accommodating the individual needs of students with physical or learning disabilities, those in the autism spectrum or gifted learners in both PK-12 and higher education.
- Best Customer Education (LMS): Recognizes the best customer education or extended enterprise solutions for customers or professional training programs. Finalists are chosen on their product’s degree of accessibility, personalization, flexibility, innovation and positive impact.
The SIIA CODiE™ Awards are the premier awards program for the software and information industries and are the industry’s only peer-recognized awards program, where finalists and winners are selected by industry experts.
“The 2024 CODiE™ Award Finalists are a showcase of those products and individuals who have been identified by industry experts as being at the forefront of innovation,” said Chris Mohr, SIIA President. “These Finalists perpetuate the CODiEs’ longstanding tradition of acknowledging the year’s most influential products, services, and leaders, thereby laying the groundwork for future innovators. A hearty congratulations to all who have earned this recognition.”
CODiE Award winners will be announced during the Virtual Celebrations on May 21, 2024, at 1 pm EST.
