AI is fast becoming unavoidable. Much like cell phones or the internet, there really is no choice but to embrace this new technology or be left behind.

On a recent episode of D2L’s Teach and Learn: A Podcast for Curious Educators, host Dr. Cristi Ford and AI Strategist Justin Bruno discuss ways in which educators can ensure that AI is used to support true learning rather than as a tool to circumvent it.

In this additional clip, Justin reveals what he’s encountered as someone who provides various AI presentations as professional development. According to him, outside of plagiarism concerns, many educators simply haven’t spent much time thinking about what AI could mean for teaching and learning. And apparently, for those who are interested in learning more, nearly half admitted to having no idea where to start.

Justin references both this EdWeek piece and this Michigan Virtual study. Follow the links to learn more.
