Analyst & Edufan Panel at Fusion Discuss the Promise, Perils and Progress of EdTech

  • 1 Min Read

Learn from some of the pioneers in education as they talk about the promising results that have revolutionized their institutions.

I like to think we’re not only a company that helps people learn, we’re also a company that invites people to help us learn.  Whenever possible, we want to hear from our customer leaders about what they think we should be doing — and where edtech will take us all next.

That’s why I’m so thrilled to announce a new Fusion panel that features five of our D2L “Edufans.” The talk is called “The Promise, Perils and Progress of EdTech,” and it should prove to be provocative. It’s going to be moderated by D2L’s own Ken Chapman and it will feature Ovum Research analyst Navneet Johal and Eduventure Analyst Jeff Alderson.

These aren’t just your run-of the mill Edufans.  These folks are pioneers in education who have broken new ground in the EDU industry with compelling research, pilots and programs that are absolutely ground-breaking. Here’s a description of the talk:

“In everything from personalized learning, predictive analytics, to competency-based education, today’s leading educators are developing edtech solutions that are changing the landscape of education. So what do these leaders have to tell us about disrupting old-school customs and ushering in new-school strategies? What do they have to say about overcoming the naysayers? And what are the secrets behind the ideas that work — and what have they learned from the ideas that failed? Take some time to hear about the promising results that have revolutionized their institutions.”

We’re honored to welcome these five edufans on the panel:

  • Navneet Johal, Analyst, Ovum Research
  • Jeff Alderson, Analyst, Eduventures
  • Philip A. Thompsen, West Chester University of Pennsylvania
  • Kari Frisch, Central Lakes College
  • Janet Kamps, Stephen F. Austin State University

If you’re going to Fusion, be sure to join us on Monday, July 18th at 3:30pm to see this panel.

If you haven’t yet registered for Fusion, there’s still time. Visit the Fusion website for more information.
