Ontario’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a dynamic learning platform powered by D2L’s Brightspace. The VLE is provided by the Ministry of Education at no cost to Ontario publicly funded school boards. Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) is the Catholic school board for Hamilton, Ontario, serving students in 48 elementary schools, seven secondary schools, and one adult and continuing education program. “I believe that the VLE is a rich resource of digital tools for all educators and students in Ontario. The VLE has radically transformed over the past few years and continues to become both a more user-friendly and mobile-friendly platform.
