Stefanie has been with D2L since 2014 and is a well-known name within the D2L Brightspace Community. Stefanie motivates her team to think about enhancing and fostering the Brightspace Community to be a collaborative environment for all. She strives to reach every learner by helping to overcome barriers to access and facilitating equitable support for all. She is a shining example of how to connect and communicate with a truly diverse and global work team and client base. Her communications are respectful and inclusive of all individuals, allowing all Brightspace Community members and D2Lers to feel that they belong.

Kate joined D2L in 2017. She embraces inclusion by actively seeking contributions, presence and perspectives from different groups of people at D2L. She values and integrates their inputs when creating new processes and coaches and mentors others to do the same. Kate embraces diversity and inclusion by creating safe spaces for the team to share their feelings, opinions, knowledge, backgrounds and experiences. This contributes to a stronger team and design practice through building empathy, forging relationships and learning from each other.

Sam also joined D2L in 2017 and is a relentless champion for equity. She has broad influence and impact across many functions at D2L, including sales, marketing, people and culture and, of course, research and development. She adopts a global mindset and has made significant contributions to clients and prospects worldwide. Sam has even received international recognition by joining the prestigious Global Leadership Council at IAAP, the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.

Danielle joined D2L in 2019. Along with Laura McJannet-Brogan, she has been instrumental in driving change within the sales organization. She is a member of the women in sales group, where she leads conversations around not just gender equality but also change and how to make sales at D2L a great place for women to grow their careers.

Sasha joined D2L in 2016. Her approach to embracing equity and her belief in enabling all people to maximize their potential and knock down roadblocks is clear in her leadership. As someone who immigrated to Canada and established a successful career as a woman in technology, she has also played a key role in supporting many women’s careers across D2L.

AJ joined D2L in 2019. She consistently advocates for embracing equity, as shown in her work with accessibility. She is consistently leveling up processes to ensure that resources are accessible to anyone who might listen to or read them. She also actively participates in educating the design team about designing for accessibility.

Tina has been with D2L since 2015. As a leader, Tina consistently embraces equity. When hiring, she actively strives to bring more representation into engineering and understands the importance of diverse perspectives and experiences. She is an ongoing advocate for making D2L products more accessible to all, which will no doubt have ripple effects in the real world.

Lindsay joined D2L in 2018. She does an incredible job advocating for women on her team and across the organization.
