Julia’s Story
After losing her father during her senior year of high school, higher education seemed out of reach for Julia. Then she discovered Modern States, a nonprofit that gave her access to free, online, for-credit college courses. This opportunity allowed her to return to school and earn two degrees without incurring debt. Her story is about resilience, opportunity and rewriting what’s possible.
The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative (ODBI) offers more than mentorship. It provides a structured program designed to empower youth and help them build a roadmap for their success.
