Step 1: Visit the Brightspace Developer Community of Practice and explore the free resources available—including developer platform documentation, developer support forums, platform news, and more—to familiarize yourself with development options.
Step 2: Investigate the value of developing a solution on top of Brightspace. How will this solution help to drive opportunity for both your organization and D2L in the education space? Keep in mind that our most successful partners are those who develop solutions unique to Brightspace—solutions that offer Brightspace users a differentiated learning experience while simultaneously adding value to the partners’ current client base.
Step 3: If you’ve developed an LTI solution, you can apply to our Integration Validation program to access a D2L test environment for 60 days to test the integration within a Brightspace platform.
If you need access to a site for longer than 60 days, or require permissions beyond those in the Integration Validation please indicate that you would like to apply to become part of the D2L Partner Program. It will provide us with the information we need to understand your company and solutions and allow us to evaluate how we can best work together.
Step 4: A member of our Partner Team will reach out to schedule an in-depth discussion.
