D2L and (ISC)2 Win Learning and Development Award at 2022 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards

Partnership wins Bronze in the Best Association Professional Development Program category in the Learning & Development program area

D2L, a global learning technology company, and its partner, (ISC)², the world’s largest association of certified cybersecurity professionals, earned a 2022 Bronze Brandon Hall Group Human Capital Management Excellence Award. The (ISC)² continuing professional education team worked with D2L to design and launch a scalable training program to support more than 168,000 learners in 175 countries.

“With the rapid pace and evolution of cyber threats, our members – the cybersecurity professionals around the world working hard to keep us safe and secure – are always learning,” says Stacy Mantzaris, vice president of professional development at (ISC)². “That is the driving force behind our expanding portfolio of education courses covering a wide array of security best practices and emerging technologies that was easily accessible to members around the world at any time.”

As a provider of technology-based learning solutions, D2L stepped in with its extensive expertise in enabling organizations to engage learners. Working in collaboration, the (ISC)² and D2L teams expanded the professional education program to:

  • Support high enrolment volumes
  • Provide a wide range of courses
  • Deliver high satisfaction rates
  • Scale as required
  • Provide insights into learner progress
  • Help Engage learners

With D2L Brightspace, (ISC)²’s team was able to accelerate the creation of new courses and content, take a data-driven approach and integrate with other systems to optimize course content and delivery. Since the program’s inception, learners have racked up 270,000 course enrollments, completing over 130,000 courses since launch.

The Human Capital Management Excellence Awards is an annual awards program run by Brandon Hall Group. Now entering its 29th year, it is one of the most prestigious awards programs in the industry. Often called the “Academy Awards” by some Learning, Talent and Business Executives, the program was one of the first of its kind when it debuted in 1994. The awards recognize the best organizations that have successfully developed and deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable results.
