In just a few days, we’ll gather in beautiful Savannah, Georgia for three days of sharing, learning, and inspiration. If you’ve attended Fusion before, you know the feeling: the energy, the ideas, the joy of being surrounded by people who care deeply about the future of learning.

Since our first Fusion in 2004, we’ve hosted 19 in-person events across 18 cities, plus two virtual editions. And every year, I leave Fusion reminded of why we do this work. It’s to generate that spark of discovery, the “ah-ha” moments, and the joy of learning.

Why Ignite the Joy of Learning?

This year’s theme, Ignite the Joy of Learning, is more than a tagline. It’s a call to action.

In a world that’s fast-moving and can be sometimes overwhelming, joy is what grounds us in the moment. It’s what fuels innovation, deepens connection, and keeps us coming back to the work that matters most.

At Fusion 2025, we’ll celebrate that joy — and explore how to create and sustain it.

What’s in store for Fusion 2025

Over the 3 days, there will be 150 sessions, and we’ll connect with over 300 expert speakers, including our closing keynote from New York Times bestselling author Ryan Leak.

You’ll also hear from fellow educators who are tackling some of today’s most urgent questions, like: How do we leverage AI that enhances the human connection at the heart of learning? How do we design for inclusion, engagement, and impact at scale? And how can we stay grounded in the purpose and the joy of learning, even as the world around us changes?

This year, we’ll also share how tools like Brightspace, Creator+ and Lumi are evolving, and how AI is being built to support, not replace, educators. From faster feedback to more personalized learning experiences, we’ll explore what’s possible when technology is rooted in evidence, shaped by trust, and guided by the people who truly understand learners.

Gratitude

As I look ahead to Fusion, I’m filled with gratitude for the chance to gather in person, and for the energy that builds when leaders come together, and for a community that continues to show curiosity, courage, and care.

There’s something powerful about being in a space where people are united by purpose, and where we share ideas, challenge one another creatively, and celebrate joy.

Whether it’s your first Fusion or your twenty-second, I hope this year leaves you feeling energized, inspired, and reminded of the joy that brought you here.

See you in Savannah.
