D2L Recognized Among Canada’s Top Employers for Young People 2026

Award highlights D2L’s commitment to developing young talent through upskilling opportunities

Press Release

D2L, a global leader in learning innovation, today announced it has been named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People 2026 by Mediacorp Canada, organizers of the 26th annual edition of Canada’s Top 100 Employers project.

Canada’s Top Employers for Young People recognizes employers across the country that offer exceptional workplaces and development programs for young professionals beginning their careers. This is the 13th time that D2L has been recognized with this award, extending its commitment to cultivating future leaders via continuous learning opportunities and upskilling initiatives that can propel people upward in their careers.

“Supporting early talent has always been a core part of who we are at D2L. We believe that when people are given the tools, encouragement, and opportunities to learn and grow, they can achieve incredible things. Being recognized again as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People is an honour, and it reflects the dedication of our teams who work every day to build an inclusive, supportive, and rewarding place to build a career.”

Ira Stuchberry
Senior Vice President, People and Culture at D2L

“There’s a strong recognition that young people represent the future, and at this current juncture, investing in the next generation is an investment in the economy, and a strategic investment in productivity and innovation,” says Kristina Leung, managing editor at Mediacorp Canada.

Since 1999, Mediacorp has managed the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, which includes 19 regional and special-interest competitions. Mediacorp provides information to Canadians searching for job opportunities and employer information.

D2L also named one of the top employers in Waterloo region

Earlier this month, D2L was also named one of the Waterloo Area’s Top Employers for 2026, recognizing leading employers in the Kitchener-Waterloo area that offer exceptional places to work. For the 16th consecutive year, D2L has been celebrated for its commitment to employee wellbeing, including paid volunteer and personal days, wellness reimbursements, and job-related upskilling opportunities.

“We’ve certainly seen an increase in the variety of training and development opportunities offered in the area, from financial support for external education and certifications to in-house training and upskilling,” says Richard Yerema, executive editor of Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “These initiatives ensure employees grow within their roles, adapt to rapidly changing business needs and technologies, and find pathways for career advancement.”
