Making Brightspace More Inclusive with Embedded Experiences
The new D2L Brightspace framework for embedding Javascript can help partners build tools that feel native to the learner experience. By supporting third-party functionality, trusted partners can help enhance learning in D2L Brightspace without interrupting context or user experience.
For example, ReadSpeaker, a leading accessibility tool, now offers fully embedded text-to-speech capabilities inside D2L Brightspace. Learners with access can activate ReadSpeaker directly within learning workflows, supporting diverse learning needs and promoting a more inclusive digital classroom.
Enhancing Assignments Through Real-Time Submission Processing
The latest expansion of the D2L Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) can enable real-time processing of assignment submission by third-party tools. Copyleaks, a widely used AI Detection platform, is one of the first partners to leverage this new integration, supporting learners and instructors with originality checks, grammar review, and AI-powered feedback— designed to support real time feedback within the D2L Brightspace assignment workflow. This can help support academic integrity and personalized learning while keeping the entire experience Brightspace-centric.
