Brightspace includes configurable dashboards, reports and visualizations that offer insights into student activity and performance. Metrics such as login frequency, time spent on course materials, assessment outcomes and participation rates help faculty identify trends and support learners more effectively. Administrators can use this data to evaluate course design and instructional strategies, supporting continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

Generating Accreditation-Ready Reports with Analytics Builder

Analytics Builder, part of the Performance+ add-on, empowers institutions to create custom reports and dashboards tailored to accreditation and internal reporting needs. Drawing from Brightspace Data Sets, it offers flexible data structuring and analysis, streamlining reporting workflows and minimizing reliance on manual processes or third-party tools.

Authors: Custom Report Creators

Authors are users with permission to build and manage reports in Analytics Builder. Each organization can assign two authors by default, with the option to add more if needed.

Authors can access all visualizations created by fellow authors. These visualizations called cards can be grouped into pages or dashboards. Using Brightspace Data Sets or custom data, authors can join, filter and refine information to create targeted reports that align with specific goals, such as NAAC reporting.
