Flexible work arrangements
In addition to our office spaces, many of our D2Lers have the opportunity to work fully remote, so you can do your work from the comfort of your own home.
Learning and growth opportunities
We invest in our employees education, which is why we have partnered with academic institutions to pay registration for University courses for full-time, permanent employees (up to a yearly maximum). In addition, we offer opportunities to learn and share knowledge across the company, such as Micro Learning Mondays and an annual, internal, company wide conference – Infusion.

One of the things I love best about working at D2L is our commitment to Philanthropy. D2Lers are given personal days to use for volunteering, which means we can support the causes that mean the most to us. I'm really passionate about learning about education systems around the world and was lucky enough to go with D2L Philanthropy to Haiti one summer to volunteer at the Educator and Leadership Institute in Cap-Haitian. Working with Haitian educators to facilitate technology workshops, and learning in return from them about their teaching practices, was an amazing experience. I'm so grateful to work for a company that lets me continue to learn and grow!

Our Story
From the first concept to where we are today, D2L has evolved over the years into a platform that is making a difference in the way the world learns.
John Baker, a student at the University of Waterloo, created a learning platform in 1999 with a purpose of using technology to dramatically transform learning. Check out the following video from John to learn more about how “we built this”!
