Pre-Conference Brightspace Training

Great for beginners to attend a variety of hands-on training workshops to learn more and ask questions, and for advance users to sharpen their skills and connect with other users before the Main Conference.

Pre-Conference AI Workshop

Great for those in Higher Ed looking to dive deep on how we redesign courses and programs with AI in mind (responding thoughtfully to a changed landscape), and how we use AI as a creative partner in the design process itself.

Attendees must register for Fusion Full Conference to attend Pre-Conference. A Full Conference Pass includes access to attend Pre-Conference (either Brightspace Training Sessions or the AI Workshop), along with full access to the Fusion Main Conference program that follows.

Pre-Conference is perfect for those looking to start early to get a head start on learning at Fusion.

Brightspace Training – Beginner/Intermediate

Format: 4 x 60min Training Sessions

This Pre-Conference Training track is great for new users and Brightspace beginners to explore new tools and learn tips and how-tos from the D2L Training team and enhance their skills further.

This track will include 4 separate 60-minute hands-on training sessions throughout the day.

Attendees can choose to attend sessions from either the Beginner or Advanced Pre-Conference Training Tracks.

Breakfast and lunch included.

Brightspace Training – Intermediate/Advanced

Format: 4 x 60min Training Sessions

This Pre-Conference Training track is geared to advanced users looking to elevate their proficiencies, get questions answered by the D2L Training team, and flex their already strong Brightspace muscles even further.

This track will include 4 separate 60-minute hands-on training sessions throughout the day.

Attendees can choose to attend sessions from either the Beginner or Advanced Pre-Conference Training Tracks.

Breakfast and lunch included.

AI Workshop – Redesigning Courses and Programs in the Age of AI

Format: 1 x 4hour Workshop

This Pre-Conference AI Workshop is designed for academic leaders, faculty, instructors, and instructional designers across institutions who are navigating the integration of AI into teaching and learning.

The 4-hour session will cover how we redesign courses and programs with AI in mind (responding thoughtfully to a changed landscape), and how we use AI as a creative partner in the design process itself. Throughout the day participants will alternate between facilitated content and structured small-group conversation, ensuring ample time to explore how these ideas apply to their specific organizational contexts.

Attendees of the AI Workshop Pre-Conference Track must attend the full 4-hour AI Workshop.
