  • Fusion is D2L’s annual conference that brings together educators and learning leaders from around the world to share ideas that will shape the future of learning. Sharing knowledge and best practices helps drive progress and better outcomes for learners. Fusion is your chance to join the conversation and make sure your voice is heard.

  • Fusion 2023 will take place from July 12–14 in Anaheim, California. All registrants will get access to Fusion On-Demand starting July 13. Please visit our Event and Travel Info page for more details.

  • We’ll have tons of recordings* available through Fusion On-Demand for all registrants to enjoy. After Fusion, recordings of John Baker’s Welcome Keynote, the Solutions Spotlight and a few other featured sessions in Anaheim will also be available. To access recordings, please register for Fusion On-Demand on our registration page.

    *Most of the sessions that take place in Anaheim will not be recorded or available on demand.

  • We want everyone to feel comfortable at Fusion! Whether you prefer to dress for business or go casual every day, you’re welcome to wear whatever you like as long as you’re respectful of others.

  • This year we’ll be at Angel Stadium, so we recommend wearing something to celebrate your favorite baseball team. Part of the event will be outdoors, so don’t forget to bring layers as it can get cool at night. Not into baseball gear? We suggest business casual, but please dress suited to your comfort.


  • You can register for Fusion 2023 to attend the in-person event in Anaheim or to access Fusion On-Demand by visiting our registration page.

  • In-Person Fusion
    The standard rate for Fusion 2023 is $850 and includes pre-conference training and networking on July 12, the evening event on July 13 and full access to Fusion On-Demand. There’s no cost for Fusion On-Demand access.

  • There’s no registration deadline for Fusion 2023 or for Fusion On-Demand.

  • Absolutely! While guests are not permitted to attend the main conference, you can buy an additional pass to the evening event on July 13. You can purchase this pass when you register or by modifying an existing registration.

    *Guests must be 21 years of age or older with a valid photo ID, and guests must follow all relevant government protocols and the Fusion Code of Conduct.

  • We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard and purchase order at the time of registration. For tickets purchased via purchase order, you must provide D2L with a copy of the purchase order within 30 days of registration. 

    Payment deadlines:

    • pre-registration registrants: March 1
    • early-bird registrants: April 30
    • all other registrants: June 28

    The balance of any outstanding fees owed must be paid on-site before entry to the event will be permitted.

  • Cancellations must be made in writing and received by the dates below to result in a refund as follows: 

    • cancellations received on or before April 30 receive a full refund
    • cancellations received between May 1 and June 15 receive a full refund minus a $150 processing fee
    • cancellations received after June 15 will not be eligible for a refund

    Please email Registration Support, [email protected], directly to cancel your Fusion registration.

    Remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Individuals are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations. 

  • Accommodations at the Anaheim Marriott at the Fusion 2023 attendee rate must be booked through this booking link. The special Fusion rate expires June 19.

  • A special rate for Fusion 2023 attendees of $219/night (plus fees and taxes) is available at the Anaheim Marriott. To take advantage of this rate, please use this booking link to book before June 19, when the special rate expires.

  • There are three airports that serve Anaheim: John Wayne Airport (SNA), Long Beach Airport (LGB) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). You can also take the train to Anaheim Amtrak Station. Additional travel information is available on our Event and Travel Info page.

  • July means summer is in full swing in Anaheim, with hot, sunny days and warm evenings. Indoor venues are air conditioned. Check out the average temperatures in Anaheim.

  • Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided daily, with breakfast provided July 13–14. Appetizers and drinks will be available at the evening social event on Thursday, July 13.

  • Meals will be available in the Exhibit Lounge.

  • The Speaker Portal is a website specifically for presenters at Fusion 2023. It lets you keep up to date on the latest speaker event information, view your presentation details and update your speaker profile. All confirmed presenters will have received an email from Fusion 2023 ([email protected]) with instructions on how to log in to the Speaker Portal. If you didn’t receive this email or need support in accessing the Speaker Portal, please email [email protected].

  • The Fusion app is specifically for in-person attendees, presenters and sponsors at Fusion 2023. You can use the app to stay up to date on the latest event information, add sessions to your schedule, access session materials, network with other attendees, play the Fusion Challenge and more.

  • Yes. We’ll have videographers and photographers on-site to record all the action at Fusion 2023! By registering for and taking part in the event, you consent to being filmed and photographed, as per our Terms and Conditions.

  • The Fusion 2023 attendees wearing the “Ask Me!” button have been to at least one Fusion conference, if not all of them! They’re knowledgeable peers who have Fusion experience and knowledge that they want to share with you. If you’re a first-timer, we want to make sure you know what’s what at Fusion, and that you feel as welcome as those who have attended Fusion in the past. If you have a Fusion related question, please don’t hesitate to ask these folks or a D2L staff member.

  • You can head to the Registration Desk if you have any questions. Alternatively, you can seek out anyone wearing an “Ask Me!” button or a D2L staff member—they’re easy to spot in their bright green shirts.

  • Head over to the D2L Demo counter, located outside of the Exhibit Lounge.

  • Access to Fusion On-Demand will open on July 13. You’ll receive an email closer to the date with the link and login information. Everyone who registers for Fusion, whether the in-person event or Fusion On-Demand, will have access. There’s no cost to access Fusion On-Demand.
