Thanks for Igniting the Joy of Learning
Fusion 2025 brought the learning community together in Savannah, Georgia for three energizing days of connection, insight, and inspiration. More than 1,000 attendees from 16+ countries explored how humancentered innovation, AI, and community can unlock more meaningful learning experiences.
Day One
Fusion began with Pre-Conference Training as well as the invite-only Executive Summit, where education and corporate leaders gathered to explore how to futureproof talent and organizations in a rapidly evolving world.
Later, D2L Founder & CEO John Baker delivered the Fusion 2025 opening keynote, reflecting on the power of AI to scale the joy of learning — so long as it prioritizes ethics, transparency, and human-centered design.

Day Two
The second day began with Jogging with John — a scenic run through historic Savannah. After breakfast attendees gathered to recognize remarkable D2L Excellence Award and H5P Award winners. Our Solutions Spotlight showcased exciting product news and announcements, including enhancements to D2L Lumi, launch of Createspace, debut of D2L Academy, and updates to Brightspace Core and Accessibility+.
The jam-packed day of programming wrapped with A Night in Old Savannah, featuring live music, local flavors, storytelling, and an unforgettable riverboat experience.
Day Three
Day three opened with sunrise yoga followed by Wake Up, Fusion, a high energy session blending creativity, conversation, and performance — including improv, robotics spotlights, mindful movement, and reflections on joyful learning.
After another full day of programming, Fusion 2025 concluded with an inspiring keynote from Ryan Leak, New York Times bestselling author and speaker. Ryan shared insights on leadership, resilience, and fostering joy. His keynote blended humor, wisdom, and practical guidance – leaving attendees energized and ready to take what they learned back to their organizations.
Until We Meet Again
Fusion 2025 reminded us to ignite the joy of learning, and that learning is most powerful when it’s human and purposeful. Fusion 2026 is set to turn up the heat this July in Phoenix, Arizona and promises even more opportunities to come together and explore the future of learning beyond the horizon.
