This is your chance to ignite the joy of learning. Showcase new ideas, trends and best practices in learning and development. You can also share inspiring stories and successes.

Presenters also get a discounted (50% off) registration rate.

Submission Details

CFP Submission Deadline: March 27, 2026

  • Once you submit your proposal for review, you cannot make further changes.
  • As a lead presenter, you’re responsible for coordinating all aspects of your presentation with any co-presenters (you can have up to three co-presenters).
  • We encourage presenters from different organizations to present together.
  • All presenters must accept the stipulated terms and conditions.
  • If your presentation is selected, we’ll work with you to coordinate your presentation details.

Presentation Formats

Choose the presentation format you prefer. Our Steering Committee may recommend a different format after reviewing your proposal.

  • Standard Breakout (45 minutes)

    Share your topic and engage your audience in a standard presentation setting or unique interactive activity.
  • Presentation & Conversation (45 minutes)

    Present your topic for the first 20 minutes, then allow for small group discussions. As the presenter, you can participate as you see fit during the table discussions. Report-outs by the tables are also at your discretion.
  • Panel Presentation (45 minutes)

    Explore your topic with a panel of co-presenters and a moderator in an in-person or virtual panel setting. You’ll organize the panelists and facilitate the discussion.
  • Lightning Session (20 minutes)

    Outline your topic in less time than a standard breakout, with a brief presentation or unique interactive activity.
  • Learning Exchange Presentation Digital Poster (60 minutes)

    Display your topic in a concise and visually engaging digital poster format. Showcase your work and engage and interact with several different audience groups walking around during the dedicated digital poster time.

    Five-Minute Flare (5 minutes)

    Sum up your topic in just 15 slides, each displayed for 20 seconds before advancing (like the Pecha Kucha format). A successful Flare has interesting visuals and fluid speaking.
  • Fusion On-Demand Recording (suggested length 5-20 minutes)

    Share a pre-recorded video presentation for Fusion On- Demand attendees. Suggested length of 5-20 minutes. Share your insights with hundreds of viewers. On-Demand video creators also receive the presenter discount for attending Fusion in-person.

For Fusion 2026 we are looking for presenters that will spark engagement and discussion. We’re seeking sessions that take us beyond the horizon – ideas that innovate, inspire, and advance learning.

Presentation Topic Tracks

D2L event programming will touch on hot topics and trends in edtech and the future of learning. Below are the overarching topic tracks we are looking for proposals to line up to:

  • H5P Community

    A dedicated track for the global H5P community. Share advanced techniques, showcase reusable content, explore emerging content types, and collaborate with peers who are pushing the boundaries of interactive learning experiences.
  • Innovative Technologies and Ecosystems

    Explore the latest advancements in AI, virtual and AR and seamless third-party integrations that extend Brightspace’s capabilities. This track highlights practical implementations and forward-looking solutions that strengthen the broader teaching and learning ecosystem.
  • Insights and Strategy

    Examine how institutions are leveraging analytics and data platforms to inform decision-making, improve adoption and demonstrate measurable impact on learner success and organizational goals.
  • Learner Experience and Success

    Focused on designing inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environments. Sessions will address accessibility, personalized pathways, learner well-being integration, and evidence-based strategies that enhance retention and impact learner success.
  • Learning for the Working Professional

    This session track is designed for leaders responsible for developing the skills, capabilities, and confidence working professionals need to stay effective and relevant. Sessions focus on building intentional, future-focused learning strategies—attendees will learn how to identify emerging skill needs, align learning with organizational priorities, and scale effectively.
  • Research

    A growing forum for scholarly work centered on Brightspace. Present empirical studies, evaluation projects, and applied research that contribute to the evidence base for effective online and blended learning practices. Showcase your research on how the Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS) can transform lives and make an impact in this growing field.

    Site Administration, Integration & IT Leadership

    For the site admins and technical and operational teams managing SIS integrations, LTI standards, data governance, accessibility compliance, and large-scale Brightspace deployments.
  • Skills, Credentials, and Development

    This track addresses the evolving role of technology in competency-based education, micro-credentials, comprehensive learner records and workforce development programs, with particular attention to equity and scalable credentialing models.

    Teaching and Training Excellence

    Share proven instructional practices, faculty/instructional development frameworks and workflow optimizations that elevate teaching and training — from course design and Creator+ adoption to streamlined assessment and feedback strategies.
