Colin migrated to Australia in 2007 from Ireland. He travelled the country soaking up as much sun as possible before he started his carrier as a webmaster at The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) in 2010. Since then, he has proven his skills in developing learning and training materials and progressed to lead the development of the entire eLearning space for both staff and college members.
He recently redeployed the BrightSpace LMS into a new instance. This process brought with it the opportunity to engage with better content personalisation for the members. Colin is leading the technology side of his current big project, ANZCA Diploma of Perioperative Medicine (DipPOM). Creating this new qualification – the ANZCA Diploma of Perioperative Medicine (DipPOM) – will enable specialist doctors such as anaesthetists, surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and general practitioners, to enhance their skills and knowledge in perioperative medicine. The ultimate goal is to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
His go-to phrase is “I am a jack of all trades, a master of none.”
Angela started her working career as a Legal Assistant and later as a banking paralegal, her natural business sense found their application as she left the legal industry and joined a trades and services business. Here she took over the general management of the office and was very successful in turning around in-house practices to increase workflow efficiency. Realising this was not quite the right challenge, she moved into the Not for Profit Sector where she found her passion for helping Associations and their teams to showcase and improve their successes and innovations. Her natural sense of organisation lends itself brilliantly to the creation of innovative events that promotes these channels of success.
