Competency-based education (CBE) in recent years has earned considerable traction by challenging traditional methods of pedagogy and bringing in new opportunities for academic institutions, students, and faculties. Many institutions across the nation are exploring competency-based education today as a pathway for transforming the teaching and learning experience with digital-first strategies to build Smart universities of the future.

Online learning can certainly help support the approach of CBE, which enables students to advance through their education at their own pace based on their ability to master a skill or competency. Supported by National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) in India, pedagogy must evolve to make education more experiential, holistic, integrated, and learner-centered.

This webinar explores:

  • What is competency-based education?
  • How does it differ from traditional education?
  • What are the CBE benefits for academic institutions, faculties, and students?
  • How to get started with it?
