Speaker:
Learners today expect more than content delivery — they want experiences that are flexible, personalised, and meaningful to their future. In this panel, higher education leaders and corporate learning experts from across EMEA will share how they’re reimagining learning with AI, blended and HyFlex models, and competency-based pathways like micro-credentials. Together, we’ll explore how data-driven personalisation, inclusive design, and thoughtful change management can spark learner motivation, improve satisfaction, and better connect course content to career readiness. With practical examples from Brightspace, panellists will highlight how institutions and organisations are creating dynamic, accessible, and joyful learning environments that foster growth.

This presentation shares North-West University’s Learning Management System (LMS) journey — from recognising the need for change, through structured evaluation and governance alignment, to the decision to implement Brightspace as the institution’s new LMS.
The session outlines the strategic, academic, technical, and financial considerations that informed the decision, as well as the governance model, implementation, and the preparation underway. We aim to provide a transparent, practical account of the process, key lessons, and insights that may help other institutions navigate similar LMS transitions.
