FOSWAY GROUP names D2L a core challenger in specialist learning systems

D2L maintains position among ‘Specialist’ Learning Systems in the 2021 Fosway 9-Grid™, highlighting the company’s commitment to customer advocacy, continued product innovation and ability to address specific learning challenges

Press Release

LONDON – 11th March 2021 – D2L, a global learning technology leader, recently announced that Fosway Group, Europe’s #1 HR industry analyst focused on Next Gen HR, Talent and Learning, has once again named D2L’s Brightspace platform a Core Challenger in the 2021 Fosway 9-Grid™ for Learning Systems in the EMEA market.

D2L supports many companies across Europe to deliver engaging and meaningful learning experiences to their employees. Throughout 2020, D2L’s Brightspace platform has helped businesses adapt their learning and development offerings for remote working, and minimise the impact the pandemic has had on training and development.

“D2L’s position as a Core Challenger is a direct result of the dedication our customers have shown to the development of their own employees, and we thank them for choosing us as their learning platform,” said Alan Hiddleston, Director of Corporate Learning, EMEA at D2L. “We have always been committed to solving specific learning and business challenges in close partnership with our customers, and 2020 was a year of many challenges for businesses. We are pleased that, alongside our incredible customers, we were able to deliver the innovative new solutions needed to face these challenges head-on, and to be recognised once again by Fosway.”

D2L has continued to build momentum in the corporate learning space across EMEA, working with customers to understand and address the learning challenges that the pandemic has brought. In 2020 alone, D2L’s Brightspace was selected by organisations including The London Institute of Banking and Finance, the National Adult Literacy Agency, an independent charity committed to creating pathways for adults in Ireland, and Dematic, a leading provider of supply chain automation.

“We required an automated solution but were not willing to compromise the value of the individualised feedback that we offered,” says Cara Scott, Senior Manager, Dematic Certification at Dematic. “We researched and developed a scorecard for at least 10 other solutions. Brightspace was the only automated solution that allowed us to offer an appropriate balance of canned and personalised feedback, and it will help us get our people certified and contributing to projects as soon as possible.”

David Wilson, CEO of Fosway said “Following another strong year of consolidating its European market presence, Fosway once again recognises D2L as a Core Challenger on the 9-Grid™ for Learning Systems. An exemplar of a specialist solution, D2L continues to build on its programmatic learning approach and becoming part of an expanding ecosystem of supplier options for European customers.”
