Kumar Chandrasekhar, PhD

Kumar Chandrasekhar, PhD, holds two connected roles at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta: Educational Technologist and Learning Management System Administrator in the Academic Development Centre, and Faculty on Contract in the Department of General Education. After more than fifteen years in biomedical research, he moved into teaching and now approaches course design the way a researcher approaches a problem, building from evidence rather than guesswork. That dual vantage point, seeing Brightspace both as administrator and instructor, led him to build the Brightspace Interactive Design Skill Suite, a set of AI skills giving faculty structured, platform-native support for Brightspace course design.
