Duration:
1 hour
Presenters:

Archie L. Williams, Ph.D., Sharee’ Lawrence, Denise Sutton, Dr. Tamara Payne; all of Fort Valley State University

Description

Desire2Learn (D2L) has been a reliable Learning Management System for students at Fort Valley State University. Recently, a very small group of faculty and staff were given the task of training 100+ faculty on a new online curriculum management system. We decided that D2L would be the ideal mechanism for training delivery. As we work through this dynamic process, we are constantly learning along the way. Our presentation walks you through this journey and hopefully provides some insights and things to consider when taking on this type of responsibility. We discuss some of the successes and challenges that we have encountered and will share things to consider when using D2L as a Platform for Faculty Training.
