My name is Kathryn Patterson. I work for the Halton District School Board. I really love Brightspace and I’ve being in a Google Class, we’ve used Google. Brightspace has everything in one place and it’s so much more flexible, has so much more functionality, and really allows a teacher to create a community that is interactive with their students.

It’s so much more accessible. Once you get comfortable with it, it makes a huge difference to us teachers, portfolio of tools that they can integrate right into the work that their students are going to see. And students are able to interact with their teacher right back. There’s a way to do dual communication, the discussions. All of those things in one place makes a huge difference for our ability to really reach students.

More about Brightspace in the Virtual Learning Environment
