The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a dynamic learning platform powered by D2L’s Brightspace. The VLE is provided by the Ministry of Education at no cost to Ontario publicly funded school boards including Toronto District School Board. The VLE supports learners with different needs and is inclusive with built-in accessibility features, allowing your teachers to support a range of student needs. Many of the stand-alone apps and tools educators commonly use are features in the VLE, helping streamline classrooms and schools through consistency (and security) with everything in one place.
