Two New Schools from the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities Choose Desire2Learn Technology to Create a Personalized Learning Environment
Desire2Learn Incorporated (“Desire2Learn”), the edtech company that created the world’s first truly integrated learning platform, announces that both the University of Scranton and Canisius College have selected Desire2Learn Learning Suite to create flexible, personalized learning environments that will improve student success and overall outcomes. The schools are the latest from the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) to implement Desire2Learn technology in the creation of their respective learning environments.
The University of Scranton needed a learning solution to augment the classroom and create a more personalized and flexible learning experience while also offering the reliability of a hosted solution. Desire2Learn technology provides the school’s faculty and students with an easy-to-use interface and mobile options that improve learner engagement.
“Migrating courses from our previous platform to minimize any downtime was a critical consideration. Desire2Learn was the best choice to address this need and offered an already strong partnership with AJCU institutions,” said Connie Wisdo, Director of IT Development and Applications, University of Scranton.
Canisius College selected Desire2Learn Learning Suite to create a broader learning environment that provides educators with greater personalization capabilities in order to tailor content to specific student needs.
“Desire2Learn provides the foundation to explore new technologies and approaches to better engage our students, including mobile and analytics to improve the overall learning experience,” said Estelle Siener, Director of Academic Computing, Canisius College.
Desire2Learn Learning Suite includes a tightly integrated suite of products that provide an engaging, intuitive, and personalized learning experience for students around the world. By offering them a seamless experience for the creation, delivery, and management of courses, users are allowed to collaborate and connect around content and activities. Desire2Learn technology supports a variety of learning environments, limited only by the vision of the educational institution.
“The AJCU is known for having some of the most prestigious institutions of higher learning in the United States. The addition of two more schools from this association is a proud moment for our company,” said John Baker, Desire2Learn President and CEO. “We’re committed to developing tailored learning environments and are excited to provide both schools with a flexible solution that will promote greater student insight and help their learners achieve greater outcomes.”
