PBS TeacherLine chooses Desire2Learn to provide eLearning courses to over 10,000 teachers across the United States.
Desire2Learn Inc., a world-leading provider of enterprise learning systems, today announced that PBS TeacherLine has selected Desire2Learn Learning Platform to offer online professional development to 10,000 PreK-12 teachers across the United States. The decision follows an extensive and in-depth evaluation period of competitive eLearning platforms.

PBS TeacherLine will replace its existing Learning Management System with the Desire2Learn Learning Platform. PBS Teacherline was looking for a company with strong customer support and service, and for a system that would be very reliable, and could create the best possible learning experience for its 10,000 users. Courses offered using Desire2Learn provide teachers flexibility of pace, support collaborative learning, and expose learners to rich course content that is aligned to national, state, and local standards. Ultimately, PBS Teacherline helps teachers meet their professional development goals and make measurable changes in classroom practice and student achievement. The Desire2Learn Learning Platform provided PBS TeacherLine with the required capabilities; and delivered a complete suite of easy-to-use teaching and learning tools for course development, delivery, assessment, communication, community development, and learning management.
PBS TeacherLine offers more then 90 courses in mathematics, reading/language arts, science, instructional technology, and instructional strategies. The course offerings are expected to increase with the implementation of the Desire2Learn system.
