Global attendees come together at FUSION 2011 to network, collaborate, access developers and key executives, as well as share best practices in eLearning

Desire2Learn Incorporated (Desire2Learn), a leading provider of enterprise teaching and learning platforms, today got the eighth annual Desire2Learn Users Conference, FUSION 2011: ELEVATE, underway. The conference, held this year in Denver, CO, runs July 11 – 15.

Attendees, representing institutions and organizations worldwide, have a week-long slate of occasions to foster networking opportunities, share ideas and best-practices, celebrate successes, and motivate one another.
With more than 160 seminars, four tracks, an Executive Session, three keynote addresses, networking events, poster sessions and post-conference workshops, attendees have numerous opportunities to participate in a full range of engaging networking and learning occasions.

FUSION 2011 kicks-off with a keynote address by Jonah Lehrer, hailed as “an important new thinker” by The Los Angeles Times. Lehrer is the author of Proust Was a Neuroscientist and the instant bestseller, How We Decide. Captivating. Accessible, and never dull, he talks about how we make decisions  and how we can make better decisions.

On Tuesday, one of America’s brightest digital pioneers, Natalie Jeremijenko, will take the stage. Jeremijenko has been named one of the Top 100 young innovators by the MIT Technology Review, and one of the Top 40 most influential designers by I.D. Magazine.

Steve Brinder, will close out FUSION on Wednesday with Tales from the Classroom: How to Survive Teaching with a Sense of Humor.

The fourth annual FUSION Executive Program runs Tuesday. This sold-out, one-day workshop enables decision makers from diverse institutions and organizations around the globe to jointly debate and discuss issues being addressed in Learning. The focus of this year’s session is Elevating and Maximizing Institutional Success.

July 14 and 15 brings the return of the highly regarded Post-conference workshops at the same location as the main conference. Attendees are able to engage in hands-on training and gain invaluable insight into the latest Desire2Learn products and services.

Representatives from the Desire2Learn Product Management team will be available at the Desire2Learn product booth as well as at the demo pods. They will provide conference attendees with deep-dive demonstrations of all Desire2Learn products and services, including new products being unveiled at FUSION.
