Desire2Learn Receives Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award

Press Release

Desire2Learn is named one of Canada's fastest growing technology companies in the 2006 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program

Desire2Learn Inc., a world-leading provider of mission-critical enterprise eLearning solutions has been named to the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 50. This annual program recognizes excellence, innovation, and the fastest growing technology companies in Canada. Rankings are based on percentage growth in fiscal year revenues over a five year period, up to and including 2005.

Desire2Learn’s 2,117% increase in revenues was driven by client success, and resulted in an 18th place ranking in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. This is a remarkable accomplishment for a 7 year old, self-funded company.

“The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 companies have shown the strength, vision, and temerity to succeed despite a very challenging technology environment,” said John Ruffolo, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Deloitte. “We applaud the successes of Desire2Learn and acknowledge their place as one of the very few to accomplish such a fast growth rate over the past five years.”

“Desire2Learn is honoured to receive such a high profile award,” said John Baker, Desire2Learn President and CEO. “Our ability to innovate and drive such rapid and sustainable growth over the past five years, has resulted from significant client-driven research and development, collaboration, and a fantastic culture with many talented people. Desire2Learn’s achievement is truly a measure of our clients’ success.”

Winners of the ten regional technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America’s top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
