Desire2Learn Introduces Open API and Open Source Developer Kit

Desire2Learn opens Web Services to the public and launches an Open Source Developer Kit to increase institutional capabilities by leveraging the broader community and developers of commercial applications

Desire2Learn Incorporated (Desire2Learn), a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise eLearning solutions, today announced both the availability of its Open Source Developer Kit, and a newly available Open Web Services API.

Desire2Learn Web Services enables programmatic access to users, courses, enrollments and grades. Organizations can add new applications, extend the functionality of the Desire2Learn Learning Environment and provide a means to simplify integration with existing systems and applications.
