Expansion reflects company's success, growth, and dedication to growing our teams to meet rising client demands
Desire2Learn Incorporated (“Desire2Learn”), a leading provider of enterprise teaching and learning platforms, today announced that renovations are complete and the company has moved into additional office space in The Tannery.
Desire2Learn moved into the third and fourth floors of The Tannery building in downtown Kitchener less than a year ago. The rapid company expansion now has them occupying the newly renovated space on the second floor as well.
“This expansion gives us the extra space to continue to provide an environment of creativity, collaboration and teamwork for our employees,” states John Baker, President & CEO, Desire2Learn.The repurposed historic property is also home to other technology organizations such as Google and the Communitech Hub.
The company moved into the building in late 2010, having grown out of their previous office and needing more space for future development. That growth has continued unabated; since the move to The Tannery, Desire2Learn has grown to more than 350 employees and currently has more than 80 open positions at the Kitchener office and throughout their global subsidiaries. Desire2Learn continues to expand its global presence, adding new employees to its global team and new clients to its rapidly growing client list. Desire2Learn currently serves more than 7 million learners across North America and around the world.
Desire2Learn’s investment in The Tannery also represents the company’s dedication to making a positive impact in the local economy. “We are very excited for this expansion project,” comments Baker. “It represents not only our growth as a company, but our growth as a participant in the local and global community. We remain committed to economic development in the Waterloo region, and to supporting the Kitchener downtown core and The Tannery. This region is rich in talent and resources, and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
