Desire2Learn Announces United Kingdom Subsidiary

Press Release

Launch of Desire2Learn U.K. Ltd. reflects commitment to transforming teaching and learning in the United Kingdom and Europe

Desire2Learn Incorporated (Desire2Learn) and its subsidiary Desire2Learn UK Ltd., leading providers of enterprise teaching and learning platforms, today announced a continued commitment to clients and prospects in the United Kingdom and Europe with the establishment of the newest Desire2Learn subsidiary.

In England, Hartlepool Sixth Form College, Nottingham Trent University, Pamoja Education, The Islamic College for Advanced Studies, The Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA), and most recently, Oxford University Press (OUP) are among the clients who will benefit from direct, accessible support and engagement with regional Desire2Learn personnel, as will Cardiff University Medical School in Wales and Stevenson College in Scotland.

The Desire2learn UK Ltd. team brings a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience to the subsidiary to assist clients and prospects in finding and implementing the learning solutions that will enable them to see their organizations into the next phase of eLearning. Heading up these efforts are team members in Sales, Account Management, and customer service.

We are very pleased to be launching a subsidiary of Desire2Learn in the United Kingdom, remarks John Baker, President & CEO, Desire2Learn. The prevalence of online learning in institutions throughout the region speaks to the opportunity this presents for the global reach of innovative learning. We are delivering the same level of service and high-quality learning outcomes in the United Kingdom and Europe that we have both envisioned and achieved elsewhere.

The UK team is already actively involved in providing support and service to existing clients in the region. They are also actively engaged with organizations and institutions throughout the territory. They run regular educational webinars and will be attending events throughout 2011 including the 18th international conference of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT-C) being held at the University of Leeds, September 6-8, 2011.

For more information or to meet with a member of the team, please contact Craig Ross, Regional Sales Manager at or 0808 234 4235.
