Desire2Learn Announces Plans for FUSION 2012, Ninth Annual Users’ Conference

With just over a month to go until FUSION 2012 begins, Desire2Learn is gearing up for its largest users' conference

Desire2Learn Incorporated (“Desire2Learn”), today announced plans and detailed session information for FUSION 2012 – Desire2Learn’s ninth annual users’ conference in San Diego, California.

After a year of tremendous client-base growth, FUSION 2012 is an incredible event that connects and inspires clients from around the world. FUSION is an opportunity for interacting, collaborating, and sharing ideas on the use of Desire2Learn technology and services. The event will allow clients to engage with the Desire2Learn team and the newly launched Desire2Learn Learning Suite 10 – the next generation learning platform. Sneak peeks and product updates will also be provided during the conference.

This year’s theme, “Chart Your Course,” is focused on providing users with a fresh new set of approaches to and perspectives on teaching and learning, and the expertise to plan the next steps in their organization’s learning journey.

FUSION 2012 will feature almost 200 client and staff-led breakout sessions, and provide an opportunity to engage with in-depth, hands-on training. Whether the user is novice or advanced, or part of a higher-education, K-12, corporate, government or other organizations, there is something that will keep you engaged. Breakout sessions will be held across five tracks: development, program management, teaching and learning, support and training, and technical system administration. Three visionary leaders in education will deliver keynote addresses: Rafe Esquith, a “once in a lifetime educator” who has turned impoverished and disadvantaged students into Ivy-league superstars; Sal Khan, founder of the “Khan Academy,” a database of online educational videos; and Rear Admiral Arnold Lotring, a military and private sector leader with deep insight into professional development.
