Desire2Learn Announces Plans for FUSION 2011

Press Release

Annual Desire2Learn Users' Conference theme encourages attendees to elevate learning, opportunities, and achievement

Desire2Learn Incorporated (“Desire2Learn”), a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise learning solutions, today announced details for its eighth annual Users’ Conference, FUSION 2011 – ELEVATE!, which will take place July 10 – 13 at the Sheraton Downtown Denver in Denver, Colorado. The conference will be followed immediately by post-conference workshops July 14 – 15, 2011.

FUSION provides a unique networking opportunity for hundreds of educational leaders, business executives, and many others representing worldwide institutions and organizations to come together to share ideas, learn, collaborate and build supportive connections with others in the Desire2Learn community. Attendees will network with colleagues, share best practices, enhance their knowledge and skills, connect with the Desire2Learn team and advance teaching and learning by providing input into the development of the latest Desire2Learn products.

The highly successful series of post-conference workshops July 14 – 15 will engage attendees in hands-on development opportunities with Desire2Learn training and subject matter experts.

“The main conference gives you a fantastic tool kit,” states Ginger Dewey, York Technical College, “while the post conference shows you how to use them!”

FUSION 2011 also includes the fourth annual Executive Program. Designed for organizational leaders, this year’s program focuses on “Elevating and Maximizing Institutional Success.” Participants are able to harness the insight of peers and the thought-provoking speakers to bring their vision for institutional growth and success to life.

While in the ‘Mile High City’ at FUSION 2011, participants can take part in more than 150+ sessions in five tracks: Development, Program Management, Support and Training, Technical System Administration as well as Teaching and Learning. Additionally, attendees can participate in demo pods, the Discovery Booth, the Partner Program, Desire2Learn On Demand, product updates and the Desire2EXCEL awards.

“FUSION 2011 will be held in the heart of downtown Denver. Since we anticipate an even larger audience this year, we’ve reserved plenty of room for accommodations as well as all of our keynote speakers, sessions, hands-on workshops and interactive exhibits to take place all under one roof,” says John McLeod, Director of Marketing. “The annual Desire2Learn Users’ Conference is a fantastic occasion to assemble our user community together, to elevate our thinking in eLearning, foster networking opportunities, celebrate the successes of our clients and ultimately continue to transform teaching and learning. FUSION 2011 – ELEVATE! is all about aspiring to new heights in eLearning globally.”
