Desire2Learn Incorporated (Desire2Learn), a leading provider of enterprise teaching and learning platforms, today announced that College of the North Atlantic has begun implementing Desire2Learn Learning Suite at its Qatar campus in the Middle East.
As part of the kickoff to the implementation of Desire2Learn Learning Suite, John Baker was recently at College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q) to deliver the keynote address at the award ceremony of the annual International Business Case Competition held at CNA’s Doha, Qatar campus. An annual event at CNA-Q since 2008, the competition welcomes groups from across Qatar, the Middle East and CNA Canada. The 2012 competition saw Stenden University of Doha take top place with teams from CNA-Newfoundland and CNA-Q rounding out the top three.
“At CNA-Q one of our mottos is, ‘Using Technology to Improve How we Work, Learn, and Communicate,’ says Dr. Ken MacLeod, President, CNA-Q. “Our partnership with Desire2Learn will go a long way to help us realize this goal by providing an eLearning platform for our blended learning strategy that has the potential to transform the teaching and learning process at the College.”
“It was an honor to speak at the International Business Case Competition at CNA-Q,” remarks John Baker, President & CEO, Desire2Learn. “It was a testament to the tenacity and determination that this generation of learners brings to their education; something we look forward to seeing CNA-Q harness as they leverage Desire2Learn Learning Suite in their course offerings.”
Desire2Learn Learning Suite will be utilized at CNA-Qatar across all faculties and programs in a blended learning format. At full implementation, the system will be utilized by upwards of 4,500 full-time and part-time students and 650 faculty and staff.
