Client Transition to Desire2Learn Learning Environment 8.3 Completed on Schedule

Press Release

Desire2Learn upgrades U.S. Clients to Learning Environment 8.3 to share common platform facilitating enhanced collaboration, user-friendly interface, along with strong support and quicker transitions to future developments

Desire2Learn Incorporated, a leading provider of mission-critical enterprise eLearning solutions, today announced that the conversion of all U.S.-based clients to the latest version of their Learning Environment has been completed on schedule — just over two months after work began.

Significant internal support was committed to facilitate the transition of hundreds of campuses across the U.S. to Learning Environment 8.3. Unsolicited client comments speak to that success:

“… thank you for your fantastic work… this end of semester was the smoothest ever in the history of all our CMS systems… we made it to 8.3 safely and ahead of schedule.”

“… thanks to all for a phenomenal effort in meeting a very tight timeline!”

“Through collaboration, along with tremendous support and participation from both our clients and our employees, we have been able to fully transition our U.S. clients to version 8.3 of the Desire2Learn Learning Environment,” said John Baker, Desire2Learn President and CEO. “This has been our smoothest deployment and highest quality product release to date. With this transition now complete we will continue to build on our commitments to deliver products, services and partnerships that are second to none. Our FUSION Users Conference this July in Memphis, Tennessee will be even more exciting with the enhanced ability to share common experiences across our client base.”

Additional resources will be focused on the 8.3 platform for support and future developments since the overwhelming majority of Desire2Learn clients are on this latest platform, with the remainder in the process of planning upgrades. Users can further enhance collaboration between institutions as they will share a common platform. Institutions migrating to version 8.3 catapult even further ahead with the most advanced eLearning platform in the market.
