D2L, a global learning technology leader, announces that one of the UK’s most innovative education institutions, Bournemouth University (BU), has selected its Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver a more engaging and personalised learning experience.
Located in Dorset, BU hosts over 18,000 learners on two campuses. It is the first university in England to receive a ‘Commended’ judgement for the quality of student learning opportunities from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education QAA.
Following a stringent evaluation process which included a pitch presentation and usability tests, BU selected D2L’s Brightspace LMS. Brightspace exceeded all of the university’s requirements and ensured a modern, mobile, easy-to-use learning experience would be available anytime and anywhere.

Built-in analytics reports in Brightspace enable BU to track and understand performance down to the individual student level. These analytics can be used to tailor learning experiences and enable educators to easily design courses, create content, and grade assignments.
