The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is a world leader in best practices for the use and integration of technology in learning. In 2018, ISTE launched their professional development program ISTE U to provide access to high-quality learning directly to teachers.
ISTE U offers a library of best-in-class online courses to help educators continue to build critical skills for teaching and learning in a digital world. Covering a range of forward-reaching topics and innovative pedagogies for digital learning, these courses are built on solid research-based instructional design principles and best practices in learning science. They focus on the ISTE Standards for Educators, which are woven into lessons with an emphasis on their practical application. Throughout a course, participants work through interactive learning and project-based activities to integrate important topics and methodologies into their own classrooms.

Enrollment flexibility
Whether you are looking to enroll one educator in multiple courses or multiple educators in a single course, you’re in the driver’s seat. Courses are available for enrollment of individuals and cohorts. Schools have the flexibility to enroll just the number of educators they want in the courses they need and receive group discounts for the total number of enrollments across all courses.
Reach every learner
Access a catalog of best-in-class online courses on the ISTE U virtual hub. With a wide range of topics, the learning can be extended far beyond teachers to individuals across your entire organization, such as coaches, librarians, and leadership.
A familiar face
Don’t sweat about the learning curve associated with accessing a new software tool. ISTE U courses are fully hosted on a platform already familiar to your educators–Brightspace by D2L! Educators can work seamlessly through interactive learning and project-based activities, all within a tool they know.

I love that it provides one-stop shopping for high quality instruction within a self‐paced course that connects to ISTE standards and traditional common core standards. The complementary balance between the use of traditional written instruction materials with video and multimedia platforms makes engagement interesting and connected in a way that just works!
– Kimberly Zajac, K-12 Educator, Speech Therapist, Norton High School

The online instructor is definitely a strength. Deb was great. She gave timely feedback and was highly interactive. She made personal connections with her students- and that is really hard to do in an online course. The course content is another strength. It has high production value and was well organized.
– Rae Crandall, Computer Science & Robotics Teacher, San Ramon Valley

Course Content/Material - Moves brilliantly from simple to complex concepts, caters for differentiation, there is enough content for everyone to explore and learn, at own pace, the content is very engaging and up to date.
– Sheeba Ajmal, Founder, Technology for a Cause - Enhancing Skills Empowering Kids

This course is not just for technology teachers. It applies across all subject areas. You might think that computational thinking concepts are not applicable to your subject area, but they are in fact applicable everywhere. I was surprised to see how the concepts are already being applied in language arts and social studies. I highly recommend taking this course to refine what you are already doing and develop the use of these skills that our students really need to be successful in the future.
– Pamela Sangster, Salisbury, CT
