Title: From Anxiety to Opportunity – The next 20 years of learning innovation

Date / time: Tuesday October 8, 2019 | Time: 3:00 PM to 3:20 PM

Room: Sheraton Hall C

In a world where everything is moving at breakneck speed, trying to get a clear picture of your surroundings is like trying to watch the countryside from the window of a bullet train. In education, that’s true too. For those of us in the field, with our head buried in our work every day, the educational landscape is whipping past. So it can be hard to look back and see where we’ve come from, challenging to look around and take stock of where we are, and all but impossible to look ahead and see where we’re going.

Title: Closing Day Plenary

Title: Best Practices in Creating a Skills Strategy for Your Organization

Date / time: Wednesday, October 9, 2019 | Time: 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM

Location: Room: Sheraton Hall B

Abstract: The world of work is changing rapidly. The big question we ask really needs to evolve from just “what skills do we need for the future” into “how can we enable learning in our organization so that no matter what skills we need in the future, our organization is prepared to learn and adapt”? Without attention to creating appealing and engaging learning opportunities within a modern learning culture, investments made in skills development are likely to fall short of the potential.

In this session, tactics will be presented to help you:

  • Embed learning into organizational culture
  • Design learner-centric programs that put your employees in the driver’s seat of their professional development
