Instructional Technology Network ― November Session
Networks give you the power to virtually connect with peers on your topics of choice.
The Instructional Technology Network kicked off at Fusion in September and continues as a series of sessions, which you can participate in as much or as little as you choose.
The title of the session on November 24, 2020, is Instructional Technology Network: Digital Storytelling as an Authentic Assessment Practice.
At this gathering, we’ll discuss where we need to be, including:
- The factors that contribute to the change in how we need to educate and assess students
- Learning how to learn and learning how to communicate outcomes rather than focusing on specific disciplinary content
- Digital storytelling as one of those multimodal ways to create an authentic experience for the demonstration of skills acquired during the learning process
We are thrilled to have Melody Buckner as our speaker for this session! Melody is an Associate Vice Provost for Digital Learning and Online Initiatives at the University of Arizona and is a long-time contributor to the D2L community and other digital learning groups.
Barry Dahl – Teaching and Learning Advocate, D2L
This Network session is separate from the D2L Fusion schedule. Those who RSVP will receive Zoom login details for the session via email.
