Jessica is a passionate and life-long learner who joined the D2L team in February 2017.
She attended the University of Waterloo where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from the Arts and Business program and went on to complete a Masters in French Literature. She continued her studies at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (University of Toronto) where she completed her teaching degree with specializations in Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development, and Teaching French Immersion.
Jessica has taught in a variety of educational settings, ranging from kindergarten to secondary in K-12. She spent two years teaching abroad at a government school in Abu Dhabi, UAE and further diversified her teaching experience with the local school board, WRDSB, both on the elementary and secondary panels. In Higher Ed, Jessica taught first-year French courses at the University of Waterloo. She has also worked in a variety of roles in the public and private sectors. When she is not at work, she can usually be found cooking up her latest recipe discovery or spending time outside. Fostering curiosity and a passion for learning is at the core of Jessica's educational philosophy.
