The award was for outstanding content and digital design within education. We're delighted!
Last week, our DACH-based customer, TLA TeleLearn Academy, was awarded the Comenius Seal for its use of our online learning platform, Brightspace! Taking place at the European House Berlin, the Society for Pedagogy, Information and Media e. V. (GPI) presented TLA with the Comenius award for outstanding content and digital design within education.
A customer since early 2017, TLA provides a variety of online and classroom-based learning programs, many of which are customised for those entering or re-entering the job market in the DACH region.
There’s no doubt that educators today are under growing pressure to provide a learning experience that is varied, personalised and engaging. There can be more to corporate learning than just the traditional teaching method involving a teacher talking to a group of learners, providing simple case studies, simulations, or adding ‘drag and drop’ features to an online module. Many modern-day learners want the opportunity to access extensive multimedia content that is tailored to them and their abilities, and, more importantly, they want the flexibility to consume this content and learn when it best suits them.
By implementing D2L’s Brightspace platform, TLA’s students are taking advantage of continuous and vocational training programs that can automatically adapt learning paths to each student’s progress and provide access to content on any device, giving learners the personalised experience they need to achieve their qualifications. The platform is also known for its responsive and interactive interface, making it easy to use for both the instructor and learner.
With TLA offering partly publicly financed programs, it is important that each learning program meets every aspect of Germany’s Data Protection Act (DPA). Indeed, data privacy regulations in Germany are among the strictest in the European Union (EU). We are ISO 27001 and 27018 certified and are proud of our data protection compliance program.
The future of learning is digital, flexible, and mobile, and it’s great to see Brightspace recognised for allowing TLA to take advantage of all three. We look forward to helping more businesses – and hopefully winning more awards – as we continue to expand in Europe.
