Bersin’s IMPACT 2018: Leadership, Feedback, Soft Skills and the Social Enterprise
- 2 Min Read
Feedback, soft skills and the social enterprise will be key for helping workers succeed in the future of work.
It’s that time of year; talent management and learning and development pros have flocked to sunny Florida to attend Bersin’s IMPACT 2018 conference. This year’s theme is “the rise of the individual in the future of work,” and over the first few days of the conference we’ve heard some key buzzwords being bandied about addressing how organizations can give each (increasingly powerful) individual in the workforce the autonomy and energy they need to succeed.
First, here’s a brief history of Bersin’s Impact conference and the rise of the individual.

Feedback has been one of those key words we’ve heard buzzing about. The consensus is employees want it and they need it—it’s important for engagement.

Soft skills have been another popular point of conversation amongst conference-goers; helping individuals develop them will be important for achieving success in the future of work.

When it comes to developing leaders—for whom soft skills are particularly important—KPIs are key.
