As a Solution Partner Business Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships in specific D2L market segments and solution verticals. You will have a strong background in managing partner relationships and solution offerings to achieve measurable commercial outcomes. You will have a proven ability to work directly and independently with customers and partners in every phase of the business cycle, from business development to partner recruitment, solution enablement through to sale.

Job Summary:

As a Solution Partner Business Manager, you will be responsible for managing strategic partnerships in specific D2L market segments and solution verticals. You will have a strong background in managing partner relationships and solution offerings to achieve measurable commercial outcomes. You will have a proven ability to work directly and independently with customers and partners in every phase of the business cycle, from business development to partner recruitment, solution enablement through to sale.

We are looking for someone great at developing and managing solution-oriented partnerships. You will collaborate effectively with D2L Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Strategy team members to offer best-in-class solutions to D2L clients and drive growth in your assigned market segment and solution vertical.

How Will I Make an Impact?:

  • Manage existing D2L solution partnerships and create relationships with new partners in defined market segments and solution verticals to achieve targeted business outcomes
  • Develop, maintain, and improve D2L product offerings involving partner solutions and technologies
  • Establish and promote best practices for delivering partner solutions to customers leveraging the Brightspace learning platform
  • Act as the 'evangelist' of partner offerings, internally and externally
  • Represent the 'voice of our customers' to partners and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing leaders to refine and communicate D2L's partner strategy; building partner strategy based on D2L business objectives
  • Collect and manage data including client feedback, usage data, and sales data as input to continually improve D2L's solution strategy and offerings
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and other business stakeholders on features and releases that support the solution partnership strategy
  • Manage the impact of scope and priority with all stakeholders
  • Define User Stories fulfilling requirements including detailed and accurate success criteria
  • Work directly with Project Management, Customers, Support, other Solution Product Managers, and D2L Implementation teams to ensure all Go-To-Market plans are well defined and successfully delivered.
  • Collaborate with the Proposals team during the bid process to ensure alignment and execution on partner solutions' commercial and technical integration.

What you will bring to the role:

  • 7+ years' experience managing strategic relationships with partners and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth
  • Strong technical, commercial and industry acumen with knowledge of D2L's products and solutions an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in the development and execution of business plans
  • Experience presenting to senior/C-level leadership
  • Outstanding problem solving, analytical, and project management skills; exercising judgement in selecting methods and crafting strategy to obtain results
  • Experience in Product Management, Sales Engineering, Alliance Management or Business Development
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields of study
