Job Summary:

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to assist in the coordination and execution of product marketing activities for our education segment. Your mission is to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners and key stakeholders to help communicate the value of D2L Brightspace at every stage of the customer journey—from awareness through adoption to advocacy—resulting in the continued growth of our business in the Education segment.

  • Research buyer behavior, market trends, and opportunities
  • Support the development and execution of our go-to-market strategy
  • Craft compelling content that clearly articulates our unique value proposition
  • Amplify the voice of our customers by telling their stories
  • Help equip our teams for success—work with demand generation to run campaigns and build tools to enable sales for the launch of new products, features, and services
  • Leverage data insights to learn, adapt, and thrive

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Support the go-to-market strategy and execution for the Brightspace platform in the Education segment
    • Develop a deep understanding of our target markets, buyers, and their challenges
    • Use market research, data, customer touchpoints, and competitive intelligence to inform our product roadmap, packaging, positioning, and messaging
    • Create and maintain a value proposition framework that connects the needs of our buyers with our solution and clearly articulates the unique value of using Brightspace to help solve their most pressing challenges
    • Be the voice of the market—leverage and promote the value proposition framework as the foundation for consistent and well-differentiated messaging that resonates in the markets we serve
  • Build strong partnerships and close working relationships across the organization
    • Working with Product Management
      • Develop a strong understanding of Brightspace products, features, and services
      • Create core assets that communicate the value of the Brightspace solution, including web site landing pages, slides, one pagers and videos
      • Engage in the release process to stay on top of new products, features, and services as they come to market
    • Working with Sales and Customer Engagement, ensure that the organization is ready to sell, deliver and support new and existing Brightspace products, features, and services
    • Working with Strategic Communications and Demand Generation
      • Promote our brand and represent D2L’s voice in the markets we serve
      • Support campaign themes by craft compelling content that helps engage and inspire at every stage in the customer journey, including infographics, whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and customer stories
    • Develop dashboards and reports to deliver clear insights and learn quickly what is working and not working on all the product marketing activities – continuously using analytics to adapt, learn and grow faster

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Five or more years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience
  • Consistent track record of successfully positioning, messaging, and launching products across a broad range of customer types and geographies
  • Ability to think big picture to drive strategic organization-wide initiatives with a keen eye for the details required to see them to completion
  • Expertise in distilling complex concepts and ideas into clear and concise narratives to communicate with potential customers, partners, and market influencers
  • High-impact storytelling skills that evoke emotion and inspire action
  • Robust presentation skills, including to the senior executive team
  • Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly growing organization
