You will lead the initial vision, scoping, requirements gathering and estimating for custom Implementation & Training Services projects. JOB SUMMARY:

In Implementation Services, we help customers achieve fast time to value and sustainable success by thoughtfully designing their solution in Brightspace, while in Training Services, we enable customers in the use of Brightspace by bridging the gap between technology and methodology. We are looking for an energetic Implementation Experience Consultant to represent Implementation and Training Service departments as the main point of contact for our Sales organization. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from sales handoff to initial kick off and ultimately to go-live.

As the main point of contact for our Sales organization, you will consolidate efforts across our Services group to support the sale of custom Services engagements. You will lead the initial vision, scoping, requirements gathering and estimating for custom Implementation & Training Services projects.  You’ll play a critical role in helping win new Services business and set us up for success with well-defined engagements.

As an Implementation Experience Consultant, you will also have the opportunity to contribute materials and expertise to sales enablement and work with internal teams to identify and fill information gaps that relate to the Services organization.  This may require creating re-usable assets, responding to one-off requests for information, or assisting other groups in creating and maintaining assets.

The incumbent will be an all-round expert in D2L sales and services processes, practices, clients, competitors, and products.  In addition to developing and providing information about standard services, they will also be able to serve in an advisory capacity for selling and positioning our services. You understand the concepts of providing an excellent customer experience and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to meet customer requirements.

HOW WILL I MAKE AN IMPACT?

Knowledge and Asset Maintenance

  • Maintain expert knowledge of D2L service offerings and service delivery, including implementation, training, and customer support
  • Work with SMEs in different areas (Customer Engagement, Sales, Marketing, Proposal Management, Product Management) to determine information gaps and, where appropriate, coordinate with Sales Enablement and Knowledge Management to ensure that their assets are up-to-date, accurate, and effective
  • Create and maintain SOWs aligned to Services packages

Sales Consultation

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Engagement SMEs and the Proposal Management team to create custom proposal responses for non-standard services related requests, where required
  • Support Legal team in the review of services-related areas of contracts/master agreements
  • Present overviews of D2L Services and Support offerings for prospective clients, as required
  • Use knowledge of sales strategy and competitive intelligence to provide guidance about differentiating D2L Services from competitor offerings
  • Provide rapid, accurate responses to questions from Sales, field operations staff, and prospective clients
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer between Sales and CE; drive continuity of information from RFP to closed-won.

Custom Services Scoping

  • Provide outstanding customer service while acting as a main point of contact to the Sales organization for scoping new custom Services engagements, by triaging and managing a queue of requests to scope and price custom Services work
  • Gather and analyze client needs by conducting requirements sessions, workshops or other appropriate means direct with customers
  • Collaborate with appropriate Services team members and functional SMEs as needed to successfully scope custom work
  • Identify opportunities to better enable our Sales team to sell custom Services work

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales, consulting, or other client-facing role
  • Familiarity with enterprise software sales process, as well as expertise in service delivery
  • 3 years of experience in technical or marketing writing, with a passion for writing with precision
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Team oriented – Foster collaborative and positive relationships between sales, services, and other internal teams.
  • Leadership, initiative and execution – Identify organizational and informational gaps and define and execute plans to close gaps; take leadership in problem solving; drive programs from definition to close
  • Experience in the educational technology sector or with an LMS
  • Experience interpreting and responding to RFPs, gathering client requirements, writing SOWs
  • Experience coordinating multiple roles to gather elements for estimation
  • Experience working in (or with) Sales or Services organizations would be an asset, specifically in a Project Management capacity
  • Familiar or experienced with Learning Management Systems like Brightspace is desirable
  • Background in teaching and learning industry would be an asset
  • Previous sales support would be an asset
  • Solid presentation skills, with the ability to convince and persuade
  • Demonstrations of sound time management, self-organized
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
