Carpe diem! The deadline is Monday for this summer’s $2000 “What Did You Learn This Year” video contest

  • 4 Min Read

Get ready to hit the record button on your smartphone, because time is running out to enter Desire2Learn’s fun and lucrative “What Did You Learn This Year?” video contest. The deadline is this Monday.

Entering couldn’t be simpler.  All you need to enter is a 30-60 second video of your K-12 child explaining what they learned in school this past year.  They can talk about their best courses or teachers, greatest lessons or achievements. By entering the contest, your child could win a $2000 education grant.

Make it entertaining for your kids to enter.  Ask them to get together with friends and record each other.  Every family that enters has a chance to win.

We’re running this contest because our company’s core focus is to promote a lifelong learning among students of all ages. This competition is a fun way for us to give back to the very people that inspire us every day- the learners.

To enter, post the video on YouTube and on the Desire2Learn Facebook page. Here is a sample from the previous year:

Contest judges will select the top videos every week, which will be posted to the company Facebook page. Nominees are given easy tools to “share” their videos with their friends and family to help increase their vote totals and check their progress in the standings. Videos can be submitted to Desire2Learn’s Facebook page until this Monday, July 8, 2013.  Friends and family can vote on the videos they like until July 22nd, 2013. The winner will be announced July 29, 2013.

Update: Contest Submission Deadlines have been extended. Please refer to the Official Contest Rules for more information.
